The Super 4 clash between India and Pakistan turned out to be a one-sided contest, with India dominating the Men in Green once again in Dubai.
One of the major talking points of the match came during Fakhar Zaman catch incident. India had put Pakistan in to bat, and Fakhar, looking to punch an off-cutter from Hardik Pandya through the offside during the 3rd over, edged it straight to the keeper. Sanju Samson dived low and grabbed it clean, but with the ball appearing close to the turf in real-time, the umpires referred it upstairs.

Third Umpire Rules Fakhar Out After Multi-Angle Review
After a thorough review from multiple angles, the third umpire upheld the appeal and gave Fakhar out leaving the Pakistan opener stunned as he walked back, clearly unconvinced.
Fakhar had made a brisk start, scoring 15 off 9 balls with three boundaries, before being dismissed. It was a key breakthrough for India, and though the decision was controversial, the third umpire seemed confident after careful viewing..

However, Pakistan skipper Salman Agha wasn’t convinced. Speaking after the match, he questioned the call:
"I don't know about the decision. It's obviously the umpire's job. Umpires can make mistakes, and I have no problem with that. But it does look like it bounced before it was carried to the keeper."
Backing Fakhar Zaman, Agha also mentioned Pakistan were about 20 runs short:
"But I might be wrong. I don't know. You could say, the way he was batting, if he batted through the powerplay, we probably would’ve scored 190. But yeah, that's the umpire's call, and they can make mistakes. To me, it bounced before it reached the keeper."
Meanwhile, new video footage surfaced online shortly after, showing Samson’s catch was clean, adding weight to the third umpire's decision and silencing many doubters.
Regardless of the controversy, India chased down the 172-run target in under 19 overs, sealing a comfortable six-wicket win and extending their unbeaten run against Pakistan to 7-0 since the 2022 T20 World Cup.
